Alan Wiles

In the early 1950's played clarinet in several all-state bands including one under the direction of Frederick Fennell. Performed with a touring college wind ensemble including a joint program with the Cornell University Band. Performed in New York City with the Rushford (NY) town band at the Worlds Fair in 1964-65.

Played clarinet in a town band, toured with college band and performed with several orchestras and wind ensembles. Performed as orchestra member, conductor and music director for 17 community musicals including “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Sound of Music”, “Kismet” and “Oklahoma”. Conducted and sang in church and community choirs. Member of the Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra.

Currently play with the Atlanta Wind Symphony and have been a member for 20 years. Has play in several church orchestras in the Atlanta area including Northbrook UMC, Wieuca Road Baptist Church and Lebanon Baptist. Also sings with the Roswell UMC Sanctuary Choir.

Played in the orchestra for the Capital City Opera Company of Atlanta. As well as the Atlanta Concert Band and the Gwinett Community Band.
