Kay Yoest medically retired after a long career in human resources at various corporations in the Atlanta area giving her a chance to participate in several musical opportunities. She has a B.M. degree in Piano Performance from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown St. Univ. but entered the Army after college via ROTC where she spent 7 years on active duty and 17 years in the Army Reserves in personnel while earning a Masters in Management. Kay played French Horn throughout jr. and sr. high school and participated in several honors and district bands as well as junior symphony but let it collect dust for about 30 years like many other members. She is the proud owner of a 7 foot Mason & Hamlin grand piano that is over 100 years old and sounds better than a Steinway.
