Having Fun

We all found our own way to have fun. As you can see here, eating and drinking were especially popular activities for everyone.

And where there's eating and drinking there must be cooking and washing dishes.

There were also several serious discussion groups--involving mostly philosophy, politics, or economics.

Especially notable was a brief lecture Mary gave on cavorting whales in Tahiti--this one caused me to take my hearing aids in for a checkup.

In the three pictures below we can see the dynamics of another such group.

Here Frank is making an important point.

Frank shows his disappointment in not being understood.

In a final fit of pique, he simply turns his back on those that don't agree.

Here we see that Gene has made what he considers a very clever point. Wanda stiffles a laugh, while Lee sees nothing amusing about it at all.

Helen and Jim are studying for the economics seminar with Warren.

Ever the grouch, Frank fails to see the humor in this female conversation.

Intrepid souls Diane, Sue, and George actually went swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps you can see them in the picture below.

Some played cards. Note here that Bobby is having difficulty understanding Marilyn's instructions.

One day some of us ventured into Charleston to enjoy a bon repast at Hyman's. It was an excellent lunch enjoyed by all save a few impatient malcontents.

Diane and Marilyn hardly had time to sit before our table was ready.

Helen and Jim are stunned that their lunch has arrived so quickly.

One evening an innocent fly made the mistake of entering the house. It was at once set on by Bobby and Marilyn. You can see the result. Poor fly.

Some preferred to be alone.

Sherry works on her memoirs while others are amused and excited watching Bobby's stand-up comedy act.

Many opted for simply relaxing.

Looking very intellectual!

Who are these guys?

Ultimate relaxation.
