The Seventh Day

Maui and Molokai by Helicopter

I. We arrived in Kahului, Maui, about midday. The picture on the left is from our balcony, and, of course, the other is of the ship tied up at the pier.

Marilyn and I were off to the airport for a tour of Maui and neighboring Molokai by helicopter. I was more than a little apprehensive about this as I am deathly afraid of heights and do not like flying in anything. My fears were unfounded and we had a wonderfully spectacular time. Here are a few of the photos I took from the helicopter.

On the left is the Kalaupapa Peninsula of Father Damien fame, and to the right is the airport as we are returning. We were in the air for a little over an hour and, to use an overworked expression, it was awesome! What a day!
