The Second Day
Pearl Harbor and Embarkation
I. We board our ship this afternoon, but this Sunday morning Marilyn and I visit the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. The Clarks had visited just a few weeks ago, so we went alone. It was a very enjoyable but somber morning. Here are some photos.

II. This afternoon we meet our ship, the
Norwegian Star, a most impressive vessel
SHIP FACTS

Here is Marilyn in our cabin (Cabin #11656, to be precise)--unpacking and then resting after unpacking. The Clarks' cabin (Cabin #11150) was identical with ours.

Here is the sitting area. Behind the curtain is our own private balcony--thus were we spared the indignity of sitting on the promenade with the riff-raff.
That evening we had dinner with Peg and Cliff in one of the many restaurants on the ship--the Versailles.

Following dinner, Marilyn and I visited a couple of bars. Here they are--Gatsby's on the left and
Star Bar on the right.
We then retired to our cabin for the night--me to sleep and Marilyn to watch television.
